Patricia's Pillow - 2025

Patricia’s Pillow creates intimate, genre-blending concerts in unconventional spaces, from old strip clubs to massive empty market halls.

For this edition, Roman Willems, Marlotte van Nugteren with Joris Takken, and Sandy and the Fossils performed in a palindrome lineup on an 8-speaker system, turning the huge hall into an intimate listening experience.

Roman’s contribution featured his self-developed digital instrument Environments with 4DSOUND, producing two immersive soundscapes:

• Opening set: field recordings and sampled flutes, setting a crisp, icy morning atmosphere.

• Closing set: as the sun set, noisy, windy textures and deep basses evolved into a synthesizer sequence, filling the space with sound from every direction and fully immersing the audience.
