Trigger Warning - 2022

This installation takes you inside the mind of someone dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Our setup features six vintage analog security televisions and a compact surround speaker system. At the heart of the installation is a self-made MaxMSP patch that controls the system. When an algorithm reaches a specific threshold, the installation goes to a climax. At this point, a memory associated with PTSD is triggered, playing randomly on one of the televisions. Simultaneously, the sound evolves and pans itself in the direction of the chosen television. The entire system then returns to a more relaxed state, patiently waiting for the algorithm to reach the threshold once again.
